Impedance Analyzer
A precision impedance analyzer is an electronic test instrument that can measure the change of complex electrical impedance with frequency.
Impedance is an important parameter for characterizing electronic components, electronic circuits and component materials. Impedance analysis can also be applied to dielectric materials such as biological tissues, foods and geological samples.

Principle
An impedance analyzer is an instrument that measures the change of complex electrical impedance with frequency. It works by measuring the current and voltage of a device during a frequency sweep test simultaneously through phase-sensitive detection. The main parameters of an impedance analyzer are the frequency range, impedance range, impedance amplitude accuracy, and phase accuracy. Further features include measurement speed and the ability to apply voltage or current bias during the test.
The impedance measured by an impedance analyzer includes impedance amplitude, real part, imaginary part, and phase (difference) caused by voltage and current. Based on the equivalent circuit model, some impedance parameters including conductance, inductance, and capacitance can be easily calculated and displayed.
